Calvary Recital – 1/21/24

Although we generally space out our healthcare recitals, this year Calvary and the Osborn each had only one date available — and it happened to be the same one! Happily, enough young performers volunteered their time that we were able to hold both.

A huge thank you to Amy Hersh for organizing the Calvary recital, and to Marcia Bean for stepping in to lead it when Amy got sick! We had about a dozen performances including the elementary strings ensemble pictured above, as well as a number of flute players and pianists.

We received a lovely thank you letter from Alison Levi-Ramirez the Calvary music therapist, which included, “Our patients and family members were in awe of the young people who came, and they all told me how much they enjoyed themselves. It is a very special thing for all of us to see young people who are willing to put themselves out there and perform. They were all so poised and polite.”

We are so proud of our young musicians for all their hard work, and for giving back to their community!
