#PMF23 Accompanist Profile: Emily Xu

We are excited to welcome Emily Xu as a PMF piano accompanist. She is a sophomore at Pelham Memorial High School and long-time performer at the Pelham Music Festival. Emily, who credits her piano teacher Mr. Hanguan Yan for her passion for piano, completed NYSSMA level 6 in fifth grade (aged just 12!) with a score of 99, last year passed ABRSM grade 8 performance with distinction, and is currently preparing to take the ABRSM teacher certification exam. She also participates as a piano accompaniment for musicians in the PMHS Tri-M Recital Fundraiser.

In addition to accompanying many of our younger musicians at the 2023 Pelham Music Festival, Emily will be performing herself in Session 4, on both piano and violin.
